Scott was born in Phoenix, Arizona and raised in Modesto, California after coming to Christ at the age of 18 because of the faithful confrontation of a friend. Prior to meeting Christ, Scott was an angry youth who often skirted trouble and was academically struggling. After meeting Christ, Scott attended Modesto Junior College to work on raising his G.P.A. and then attended the Master’s College in Santa Clarita, California. While in college, Scott met his wife Amy, and after dating for a few months they were engaged and then married three months later. They were married in 2002 and have since expanded their family to include three boys, Jonah, Noah, and Jacob.

Following the completion of school at The Master’s Seminary and serving on staff at Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, Scott was called to serve as a biblical counselor in Tennessee. He says it was during his time as a counselor that the Lord developed in his heart a passion and desire for shepherding and pastoral ministry. The Lord affirmed this calling by presenting an opportunity to join the staff of a church plant in Kansas City, Missouri. Scott served as Pastor of Small Groups, Children’s, and Counseling in addition to giving oversight to the 18 acre facility. After 2 1/2 years of seeing vibrant, fruitful ministry develop in Kansas City, Scott was burdened to bring this experience to his hometown, Modesto. Harvest Bible Fellowship invited Scott to train in Elgin, Illinois at Harvest Bible Chapel. With the blessing of the Harvest Bible Fellowship, Scott is intensely engaged in casting vision and attracting leadership to the church plant now forming.
